DanceAfrica 2011 at BAM Adds Cuban Flair

DanceAfrica 2011 took place at BAM in Brooklyn from May 27 to 30, the 34th year of the DanceAfrica festival under the direction of Artistic Director Chuck Davis. Featured companies included Ballet Folklórico Cutumba from Cuba, Kùlú Mèlé African Dance & Drum Ensemble from Philadelphia, Bambara Drum and Dance Ensemble from the Bronx and the BAM/Restoration DanceAfrica Ensemble from Brooklyn.
