Dance is Booming on Eve of 4th Annual Dubai International Dance Festival

With the 4th annual Dubai International Dance Festival on the way June 1st through 4th, dance is apparently in good shape in Dubai. The Dubai Chronicle reports that new studios are popping up, classes are filled to overflowing and even such merchandise as dance costumes and dvd’s are selling out.

That’s good news for the Festival which will feature dance performances, workshop and parties including the premiere of dance musical, Inspector Habibi & Mr Khalas, The Dance Detectives:

“Set in the glorified city of Dubai…the current World Champion Dance Team, is set to headline at the 2011 Dubai Int’l Dance Festival, until it is witnessed that their director and principal dancer is kidnapped, and it is up to the Dance Detectives to discover why. Join the debonair Inspector Habibi and his charming, yet quietly intuitive assistant, Mr. Khalas, as they unveil a suspenseful and humorous story of a missing woman taken under shadowed circumstances. Many adventures await all as they take you down the path of colorful characters, incredible costumes, and creative choreography, to discover who or what is behind this curious crime.”
