According to the announcement, the exhibition:

"brings together more than 220 works and objects, including paintings, silkscreen prints, photographs, works on paper, installations, films, videos and album covers, as well as objects and documents from Warhol's personal archives…Following Warhol's career chronologically and thematically, the exhibition begins with the film music he adored and the stars he idolized in his youth and concludes with his images of celebrities enjoying the nightlife in such famous New York hotspots as Max's Kansas City and Studio 54, the legendary nightclub that opened in 1977, where he was one of the famous regulars."

Related events will include art workshops, a curator's panel and a series of concerts inspired by Warhol.

A special highlight for dancers will be a room filled with "buoyant silver Mylar balloons" like those for the set of Merce Cunningham's RainForest through which visitors can walk. I consider that one of the best sets ever for Cunningham's work and a great example of Warhol's brilliant simplicity. The video above, though not associated with the show, gives one a look at the set in action via an excerpt from the Rambert Dance Company's recent staging of RainForest.
