Introdans in HEAVENLY [Source: Joyce]
Here's another post which I wish I could have gotten up before the actual performance especially since this is about the U.S. debut of a major Dutch dance company Introdans. They just performed at The Joyce Theatre in New York City May 1 through 6 but they are then heading to Seattle for a West Coast run May 10 through 12.
Here's how Introdans describes HEAVENLY, an evening of three works:
"Following years of preparation, Introdans will be presenting its HEAVENLY programme at two locations in the United States from 1 to 12 May. Things get started in the famous Joyce Theater in New York City, which will be hosting six performances. Then the company travels to Seattle where they will be giving three shows in the Meany Hall for the Performing Arts."
"The programme comprises Ed Wubbe's stirring Messiah, Nils Christe's Fünf Gedichte and the swinging Paradise? by Gisela Rocha. With choreographies that also feature unusual costumes and impressive stage designs, Introdans will be treating American audiences to shows full of top-quality dance!"
