Duet from To Color Me Different [Source: AXIS Dance Company]
Last night two members of AXIS Dance Company, Sonsheree Giles and Rodney Bell, were guest performers on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance. They performed the above duet from To Color Me Different, choreographed by Alex Ketley.
AXIS features a combination of dancers with and without disabilities who perform what they term “physically integrated” dance. I’m really happy to see such mainstream exposure to this kind of work.
Note: the above video starts with two couples on stage. The couple with the wheelchair are Giles and Bell.
