Laura Vikmanis Tells Her Story
Laura Vikmanis, now widely known as the NFL’s oldest cheerleader at 42, is the focus of an upcoming feature film about her struggle to make it in a scene dominated by 20 year olds.
Apparently she first tried out for the Cincinnati Bengals Ben-Gals squad after her husband left her and she was looking for something fun to do. She didn’t make it the first time out at 39 but did, after a year’s work, at 40. A book deal led to a movie deal and I’m sure there are going to be all sorts of brand extensions to follow. Maybe an exercise DVD for starters?
